Pioneering new  Churches

Out of Christ Church Birmingham, which launched in 2021 in Aston, a wider movement of church planting (starting churches from scratch) has been birthed, known as Birmingham and Beyond.

In July 2023, Gracecity Church began meeting in a home in Maypole, south Birmingham and is meeting publicly once a month in Moseley led by Abdullah Jamal and Steve Wicking. This aims to serve the South Of Birmingham. Additionally, Christ Church Birmingham took over a church building in Walsall in 2024 to serve the community of Delves and Walsall. Called Redemption Hill the church meets every Sunday and lots of midweek activity  Due to its growth, another building was offered in West Bromwich, where in 2024, Brian and Sarah Sidwell started Living Hope Church. They meet every Sunday and have started work to serve the communities of Hill top and West Bromwich.
In October 2025 we have partnered with Water Of Life Church in Chuckery Walsall. Our aim is to finish the renovation of the building and start a new community venue and   in the next season.

Birmingham and Beyond, led by Steve Whittington and team, seeks to plant multiple intercultural churches centered on the Gospel and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We have a vision to plant more churches and revitalise struggling congregations. Church buildings that were once preaching the Gospel in Birmingham have been turned into mosques, pubs and housing. We want to reverse this trend by starting new churches that are  once again in these communities serving them and sharing God's love. By taking on exsisting places of worship that have struggled we are wanting to prevent these buildings being lost to the church and community.
We hope to see people from the nations in Birmingham and Beyond come to know the love of Jesus, be disciples, and be trained to take the good news to the ends of the earth.
